Will My Dishwasher Mold If I Don’t Dry It Out?

Hey everyone! I just moved into a new house and noticed that my dishwasher has some water left inside. I'm not a fan of using dishwashers, but I want to avoid any mold issues. If I don't dry the water out, could it grow mold? Should I leave the door open to let it dry? Thanks for any advice! Here's a picture for reference: [link](https://imgur.com/a/YYzBOGR)

I’d recommend running it on the hottest setting, like ‘Sanitize’ if it has that option. After that, just keep the door open for a while to let it dry out properly. That should help prevent any mold from forming!

Yeah, definitely leave the door ajar to let it air out a bit. You don’t have to leave it wide open, just cracked should be fine! By the way, why don’t you use it? Dishwashers can actually save water compared to washing by hand, plus they’re super convenient! Just food for thought since I don’t have one myself.
