After repotting my jade, I moved it into much brighter sun. Its leaves have turned red but still feel firm, and the soil is taking a while to dry. Should I change anything now, or give it time?
Will my jade be okay after repotting and a move into stronger sun?

Red coloring after a big increase in light can be a normal stress response, not automatically sunburn. If the leaves are firm and the plant otherwise looks steady, I wouldn’t rush to repot it again just because of the color. A sudden move into several hours of direct sun can be a lot, though, so easing it into that exposure is safer than leaving it in the strongest sun right away.

Focus on how long the soil stays wet, not just the pot’s size. A larger pot can take longer to dry, but a pot with drainage and a loose, gritty succulent mix matter more than hitting an exact pot size. Let the mix dry fully before watering again, and don’t add more water just because a set number of days has passed.
If the current mix is dense and remains damp for a long time, consider changing it once it has dried enough to handle. Be gentle with the roots rather than trying to strip every bit of stuck material off. Any surface fungus may simply be a sign that the mix has stayed wet, but persistent dampness is worth addressing.

Firm leaves are a reassuring sign. I’d leave it alone for now, keep it out of harsh midday sun while it adjusts, and check that excess water can drain through the bottom. If the leaves start getting soft or the soil keeps staying wet, then take a closer look at the mix and roots rather than watering again.
