We just put together a raised bed garden this year and planted a variety of perennials. We're super excited about it! However, we're heading out for a trip at the end of this week, and we'll be gone for three days while the temperatures are expected to hit 28-30 degrees Celsius.
Before we leave, I plan to water them heavily every day leading up to our departure. Just to outline my plan: I'll water well on Thursday morning right before we go, then be away Friday and Saturday, and we'll come back early Sunday afternoon to water them again.
I know the survival might depend a lot on the specific plants and how well established they are (they were all planted this spring), but generally, do you think my plants will be okay for these three days without watering? Thanks a lot!

For just three days, I wouldn't worry too much. I've been away for similar stretches and as long as you water well right before you leave, they should handle the heat. Just keep an eye on the conditions when you get back!
Absolutely, they should be okay! Before you go, make sure to soak them really well. If you can, adding a thick layer of mulch will help keep the moisture in the soil longer too.
Yeah, your plants should be just fine for three days without water. I went away for a week during a hot spell and only watered once before leaving, and all but one of my balcony pots made it through. The key is to give them a good soak before you head out!
