Will My Pothos Plant Start Branching Out?

I recently got some pothos vines and they're looking great! I want to train them to grow along my walls, but I'm curious—will they actually branch out on their own or just keep growing straight?

I’ve had pothos that branched out naturally, but it took a long time—like 15 years long! If you're impatient, consider trimming the top; that really boosts their chances of sending out new branches!

Actually, it depends on the plant. Pothos can produce multiple vines, but sometimes they might just stick to one. If it’s not branching, you can try cutting the top off; that often helps trigger new growth!

Absolutely, they can branch out! If they’re healthy, pothos will start to grow new vines from the leaves. Just give them some time and maybe a little extra light to encourage that growth!

That’s great to hear! I was concerned because my pothos has just been growing tall with only a few stems. Should I do anything to encourage branching?
