Will soaking my lemon tree in soapy water harm its flowers?

Asked By LemonLover99 On

I'm considering soaking my new lemon tree in a solution of soapy water and neem oil to prevent pests, following advice from a post I found online. Since I want to keep the tree indoors and avoid introducing any pests from the nursery, I'm concerned about the current blooms on the tree. Could this soaking damage the flowers and affect its ability to produce lemons?

If you're just looking to prevent pests, it might be a bit extreme to soak your plant when a quarantine could do the job. But hey, if you're worried about pests hiding in the soil or on the plant, I get it! Just make sure the flowers might be safe until you can confirm they're pest-free.

Totally understand the caution! Better safe than sorry, especially with other plants around.
