Will Trimming Grass Around a Tree Make It Look Taller?

I have a tree at my place that has tall grass growing around its base, and I'm curious if cutting the grass would make the tree seem taller or if that's just a myth.

I think trimming around the tree is more about aesthetics than actual height. While it might make the area look tidier, it won't change the tree's height. Think of it like this: hanging out with shorter friends doesn't make you taller!
