Best Plants for Toddlers to Grow

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some recommendations on plants that are perfect for toddlers, specifically for kids aged 2-3. What are some fun and easy options that they can help grow and take care of? I live in Oklahoma, so any suggestions that work well in this area would be awesome!

Sunflowers grow fast and are huge when they bloom, which really gets kids excited! Snapdragons are fun too since they can make the flowers 'talk' by opening and closing them. Oh, and don't forget about nasturtiums – not only do they have pretty flowers, but the kids can eat them too!

Cherry tomatoes are a hit with little ones! My daughter had a blast taking care of hers, and they can eat what they grow, which makes it even more fun. Stick to plants they'll enjoy eating!

Don't overlook nasturtiums! They’re not only beautiful but also edible – kids love to snack on the flowers and leaves while they help care for the plants.

Carrots are fantastic! My grandson loved pulling them up and he actually nibbled on them after harvesting. It's a great way to get them excited about veggies!

Anything that they can munch on straight from the garden is a win! Pumpkins are always popular, and they love digging things up like garlic or carrots. Cucumbers get big and that's always exciting for kids to see!

Beans are awesome for toddlers! They sprout quickly and the big seeds are easy for little hands to handle. Plus, snap peas and strawberries are fun to grow too!
