I've got windows that are around 30 years old, and some of them don't open properly—they tend to fall out or slide down. Clearly, those need to go. But what about the others? They all seem to be in rough shape and collect a lot of water. I'm just trying to avoid wasting money here! Should I replace all of them at once?

As a window and door company owner, I can tell you this: if any of your windows are broken, don’t function well, or have seals that are failing (leading to leaks or drafts), it's time to replace them. If they annoy you, like if they leak air while you sleep, replace those too. It's best to avoid big box stores or big-name companies; find a local, well-reviewed contractor. The only reason I've seen to replace all windows at once—even if some are okay—is to avoid price hikes in the future. Many customers I deal with opt for replacing just a few windows at a time and are satisfied, but do what feels right for you!
