Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone has tried out the Bauer Cyclone Separator from Harbor Freight. I own an original Harbor Freight dust collector (the '2HP' model) and I've upgraded it with a canister filter. Although it works pretty well, I've noticed that shavings from my planer and jointer can sometimes get into the canister, and the suction drops after a while unless I clean the filter frequently.
I'm looking for a solution that won't cost a fortune, but I believe in 'buy once, cry once.' I'm not planning to go for the more expensive options like a Super Cell, which would be out of my budget for this hobby.
Ideally, I'm seeking a comparison with other products in the same price range, like the Vevor or the Super Dust Deputy. I'm open to solutions or shop projects under $400 that could give good results. Any thoughts? Thanks!

If you're considering mounting it on the wall, I'd recommend going with the Super Dust Deputy. You can usually find a good collection barrel for cheap on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, too. It might be around the same price overall, but you'll have a larger 55-gallon drum, which is way more convenient. The Super Dust Deputy also tends to perform better with fine dust, even if the difference is slight. Plus, going with a 2-stage system means longer-lasting suction!
