I'm gearing up to plant a big batch of Roma tomatoes, using a 50-foot drip tape hose. I'm also considering splitting it with 25 feet of bell peppers. I'm looking for an easy and budget-friendly way to support these plants. Should I just let them grow wild and see how that goes, or do you think there are better options?

If you decide to let them grow freely, just be aware it could turn into a chaotic tangle of plants! Personally, I utilize five 9-foot bamboo poles and tie them together to create a sturdy support. I then hang parachute cords from the top for the tomatoes to climb. It works like a charm!
For a 50-foot row of determinate tomatoes, the Florida weave method is definitely a solid choice. It's easy to set up and effective for supporting your plants as they grow.
We usually go with cages for Roma tomatoes. It might be a bit pricier upfront, but it definitely keeps the plants upright without any hassle.
One method I've found to work well is using T posts about every 8 to 10 feet, then doing a Florida weave with some twine. It's pretty sturdy!
