I'm a new gardener and was going to make my own potting mix, but I've found that sourcing the ingredients like perlite, pumice, and peat moss is only a bit cheaper than just buying an organic potting mix. I'm considering Espoma since it's pretty much the only organic option I can find that isn't from Scotts, Miracle-Gro, or Kellogg. I also saw a mix by Ferti-Lome, but it didn't specify what's in it, so I'm worried about possible synthetic ingredients. If you've used Espoma potting mix, what did you think? Any advice would be great, thanks! (I mostly do container gardening)

You might want to check out Jaques in the Garden; they did some experiments comparing different brands of potting soils. It could help you make a more informed decision! Just a tip, I think they also featured it on Epic Gardening.
I haven't personally tried the Espoma potting mix, but I've used their fertilizers before and they've worked well for me. Seems like a reliable brand!
