How can I control my stepper motor with my phone, without using Arduino or ESP boards?

I'm looking to control my stepper motor along with an endstop directly from my phone. I'm trying to find a suitable board for this purpose, but I want to avoid using Arduino or ESP boards. I'm wondering if I can use FT232RL or CH340G for a direct USB to motor connection. Any advice or recommendations?

Using FT232RL or CH340G directly might not work for controlling the motor, as those chips are primarily for USB to serial conversion. But you can find dedicated motor controller boards that could help you control your Nema 17 directly from your phone! Just ensure you select one that can connect via USB.
