How to Safely Remove Titebond Glue from My Plywood Box?

Asked By User1234! On

I've got this 8-inch box made from 1/4-inch plywood that's glued together using Titebond wood glue. I'm trying to figure out how to take the top off without damaging the box itself. Does anyone have any suggestions besides just prying at it? Any tips or techniques would be super helpful!

Honestly, Titebond is pretty strong, so you might have to go for a more careful approach. One idea is to cut just below the top, maybe bring the height down to about 7 13/16 inches. I've heard steam can help loosen glue too, but I'm not sure how effective it would be. Has anyone tried that with success?
