I've heard mixed opinions about whether I should grow mint in the ground, especially since people mention it can take over completely. I actually have my vegetables and flowers in raised beds, so if mint is the only weed I get, it could be a nice-smelling addition! Plus, I've read that its strong aroma might help keep mosquitoes and squirrels at bay. So, I'm wondering if I can just grow mint for pest control in my container garden?

Planting only mint could actually disrupt your garden's ecosystem. While mint smells great, it can take over and also deter beneficial insects that help your plants. It's better to consider companion planting instead of letting an invasive species run wild.
