Hey everyone! I'm looking to cover a small area of my garden with low-maintenance plants that can handle being walked on occasionally. Ideally, I'd love to have it covered with moss, but I've had trouble achieving that. I'm also considering ivy, but I'm worried it might grow too quickly and require too much upkeep. Any suggestions or insights?

How about creeping thyme? I've heard it's pretty resilient and can handle light foot traffic. It might be a great option for you!
Totally agree with skipping ivy! Clover is a nice option too. I’ve got wild strawberry growing. It’s a native ground cover around here, but it can grow a bit rampant if you're not careful.
I've tried wild strawberry, but it got out of hand! It was more of a hassle than I expected.
Clover could be a good fit for your area! Plus, it’s pretty low maintenance. Have you thought about looking into what native plants grow in your region? They usually thrive better without much fuss.
That's a solid idea! I never considered local native plants like the ones farmers use—definitely worth exploring.
I really wouldn't go for ivy! It can get out of control fast. Instead, creeping myrtle could work better since it's easier to manage. Just keep in mind it might not be great for stepping on a lot.
True, but isn't creeping myrtle a bit too tough to step on? I need something that can handle some foot traffic!

Sounds interesting! I'll definitely check out creeping thyme.
