What should I do about woodworm in my new place?

Hey everyone! I recently moved into a new place and I have a loft bed that seems to have been untouched for a while. I did a cleanup and sprayed for bugs before moving in. However, I've noticed some tiny holes in the wood and some dust that looks like wood shavings falling from above. After some quick research, I think it might be woodworm. I'm worried because my mattress is above it, even though I have fabric sheets in between. Should I reach out to my landlord about this? Is there anything else I should know? Also, there are wooden shelves under the loft with similar holes. Should I cover those or take down my clothes? I'd appreciate any advice!

You definitely need to let your landlord know about this issue ASAP! Woodworms and powder post beetles can cause some serious damage if left unchecked. A professional pest control service is usually necessary to handle the problem properly.
