Hey everyone! I recently grabbed some cheap surforms for rough shaping work, but I noticed that the plastic body doesn't keep the rasp flat when I apply pressure. Is it as straightforward as cutting a new body out of plywood? Also, how can I better support the rasp so it doesn't clog up while I'm working?

It sounds like the issue is with the flex of those thinner plates, not just the body design. They tend to bend like a kitchen tool for mincing garlic. I actually prefer rasps for shaping foam and wood. You don’t need to spend big bucks on a fancy Auriou – something like a Shinto might be a better investment!
