Tips for Growing Lettuce Indoors for Guinea Pigs

Hey everyone! I'm looking to start a garden, and since my sister has guinea pigs that love lettuce, I thought it'd be great to grow some for them. I live in semi-central Florida, and I'm concerned it'll be too hot for outdoor lettuce in a month. I plan to grow it indoors—any tips or advice on how to do this successfully?

To get your lettuce growing well indoors, make sure you provide plenty of shade and keep them well-watered. Also, consider varieties that handle heat better, like 'rougette de Montpellier' or 'laitue d'été'. They might do well even with the Florida heat!
