What Could This Noisy Timer Under My House Be For?

I found this noisy timer under my house, and while I did some digging, Google suggests it's often used for pool pumps. The catch is, I don't even have a pool! I'm wondering if anyone has ideas on what else it might be for?

Could be for an irrigation system if you have one. I’ve only seen these timers used for sprinklers before. They usually have clips that enable and disable the power as needed.

Honestly, it could serve several purposes, like for a sprinkler system or even a hot water heater. If your water heater is nearby, that could be a possibility worth exploring!

It could be used for outdoor lighting, like floodlights. Sometimes, these timers are set up for lights that activate automatically. You might want to check if you have any outdoor setups that could be linked to it!
