I'm dealing with a damaged 16' garage door that has developed cracks and weakness in one of the panels, making it tough to open without collapsing. I'm looking to replace just the top panel and the warped support beam connected to it. Home Depot seems to only offer entire door kits, which isn't what I need. Has anyone successfully sourced replacement parts for a garage door? How did you find panels or manufacturers that ship directly to consumers? I'm struggling to find local distributors that sell parts without needing to contact installer companies. I really want to avoid spending a lot on a repair for just one panel or going for a whole new door!

Just a heads up, be really careful when handling the springs on the garage door – they're under a ton of tension and can be very dangerous if you're not experienced. A lot of DIYers choose to leave those to the pros for safety reasons.
